Announcing: Ten SCORE 10 Ohio Composers Present 10 New Works by 1 Quartet

The Johnstone Fund for New Music just launched Ten SCORE, a new collaboration between UCelli, the Columbus Cello Quartet and 10 Ohio composers. The composers will write new music and workshop their ideas with the quartet for one live performance, which will take place in October of 2023 at Short North Stage.

Ten SCORE features 10 works by the following composers: Michael Fiday (Southwest Ohio); Martin Hebel (Southwest Ohio); Ching-chu Hu (Central Ohio); HyeKyung Lee (Central Ohio); Rob McClure (Southeast Ohio); Jacob Reed (Central Ohio); Adam Roberts (Northeast Ohio); Matt Saunders (Northeast Ohio); Vera Stanojevic (Central Ohio); and Sharon Udoh (Central Ohio).

Ten SCORE is an ever-evolving project sparked by the vitality of collaboration. The composers and musicians will sketch ideas, share feedback, and test concepts as each of the 10 pieces take shape. Stay tuned for details!
